Two years ago while surfing the Internet we discovered custom made photo blankets and thought the idea was neat.  Not only would a blanket with a photo of a family member make a unique gift, but they would make great pet memorials as well as honor the living.
 
     Then when my cousin, a member of the first unit of the North Dakota Trailblazers was called to duty in Iraq I began thinking of the soldiers and their children; missing mommy or daddy.  Children, and sometimes adults, need the secure reassurance a parent can give them.  A photo blanket with the image of a loved one allows us to be wrapped in that persons loving embrace when we can’t have the actual loved one beside us.  These military photo blankets make a great gift for these modern day knights or their loved one.

      Of course there is also the fact my niece is a Veterinary Technician at Walker Animal Hospital in Walker, MN.  (No relation to our family.)  She has always felt a bond and passion for animals and we realized these blankets also make great pet memorials because they continue to keep the furniture warm and our memories alive long past the time when our beloved friend has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

      Wedding blankets, anniversary blankets, birthdays and so many other special occasions become honored events with these photo blankets and the best part is; your photo becomes the blanket! The personal photo is not heat-transferred or dyed but actually becomes the knitted blanket.  Wash after wash the image will not fade.
